The mission of SmartOpsMgt LLC™ is to encourage the rejuvenation of manufacturing in the USA by providing the software tools needed to efficiently run small manufacturing plants. Specifically, the goal of SmartOpsMgt is to provide affordable Industrial Smart Operations Management (ISOM) software in a format that is most useful for the 200,000 small and medium size (SME) manufacturing plants in the USA which employ less that 50 people and which are primarily family owned and run.
This is to address a major problem that is inhibiting the growth of these plants, which is the high overhead cost of operations due to Government regulations and the complexities of short-run, quick-turn make-to-order manufacturing in which these plants specialize. The SmartOps24x7 software, which is distributed by SmartOpsMgt and its partners, solves these problems, enables these plants to operate efficiently, with low overhead costs, and be globally competitive.
A current focus of SmartOpsMgt is to enable its partners to provide a packaged plug-and-play ISOM solution for make-to-order and engineer-to-order manufacturers which is distributed already installed on an Internet of Things (IOT) computer, that is usable with little or no IT support. This ISOM software will be provided as an open-architecture solution which can be configured to meet the specific needs of the plant, by the organization's own manufacturing engineers and business analysts, in addition to the systems integration organizations and partners, which support the plant on a local basis.
